I am a Linguistics PhD student at the University of New Mexico. I currently work in UNM's Indigenous Child Language Research Center, Language Documentation Lab, and Lobo Language Acquisition Lab on projects with Dr. Melvatha Chee, Dr. Joshua Birchall, and Dr. Naomi Shin. 

I received my undergraduate degree in Linguistics from Brigham Young University in 2016 and then worked for 4 years as a District Executive for Scouting America before returning to academia and receiving an MA from BYU in 2023.

My primary interests are documentation, revitalization, and typology of North and Central American languages, as well as child language acquisition and child directed communication. My master's thesis research focused on reference tracking in Jicarilla Apache. While at UNM I will be working on documenting child language and child-directed communication, as well as various methods of teaching low resource languages to families and children.
